Poland’s chief diplomat was pleased to receive an invitation to India. Hoping for the pandemic to permit the visit, he pointed out that direct talks with New Delhi would offer a good opportunity to confer about all the major issues of common interest, including assessments of the security situation in Eastern Europe. “We are looking forward to a prompt resumption of intense political contacts after they have lost momentum due to the pandemic,” said Minister Rau. “Poland is looking to have ever closer ties with India, one of our most important Asian partners,” he added.

The ministers also spoke about resuming flights and increasing trade between the two countries.
