Phone call between heads of Polish and US diplomacy

11.03.2022

On 10 March in the afternoon, Minister Rau spoke by phone with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Phone call between heads of Polish and US diplomacy

Like last week’s visit of the US chief of diplomacy to Poland’s Podkarpacie region, today’s call was to coordinate the international response to Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified aggression against Ukraine.

The diplomats declared the continuation of the comprehensive support provided to Ukraine by Warsaw and Washington, as well as humanitarian care for Ukrainian citizens fleeing the country from hostilities. They also announced a continued process of sanctions policy against Russia and expressed concern about the situation around Ukraine’s nuclear power plants.

Consultations between the Polish and American top diplomats took place during an official visit to our country by US Vice President Kamala Harris, who met with the Polish President and Prime Minister in Warsaw.
