Phone call between Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Poland and Pakistan

Minister Jacek Czaputowicz spoke by phone with Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Qureshi. The Ministers have discussed tensions in Pakistan-India relations in the wake of the terrorist attack in Kashmir that took place on 14 February.

Minister Qureshi outlined the current security situation in the region, including the growing tension in bilateral relations with India.

Minister Czaputowicz expressed his concern over the recent developments in Kashmir and the worsening of the Pakistan-India relationship. He recalled Poland's strong condemnation of the attack, and emphasised the urgent need for reducing tension in relations between Islamabad and New Delhi. Poland's top diplomat also drew attention to the European Union's advocacy of the promotion of dialogue betwee both countries by peaceful means. ‎The phone call was held on the initiative of the Pakistani side.
