Also, 65 thousand medical masks were delivered, including FFP2 half masks, face shields, and three-layered masks. The total value of humanitarian aid for Tunisia exceeded PLN 12,370,000. The supplies were transported to Tunis by military aircraft on 25 October 2021.

The assistance was provided in the framework of bilateral aid upon the request of the Embassy of Tunisia. The logistics of the operation was a joint effort of the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves and Poland’s Armed Forces, enabling a swift and efficient provision of humanitarian aid to Tunisians in need.

Since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, Poland has supported other countries in combating and preventing Covid-19.  Aid from Poland in the form of medical and personal protective equipment has reached the people of, among others, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, India, Iraq, and Iraqi Kurdistan, as well as the Western Balkan countries and Romania. Polish doctors were directly involved in attending to Covid-19 patients abroad, including in Italy, Kirgizstan, and the US. In recent months Poland has also donated Covid-19 vaccines to the people of Egypt, Vietnam, Taiwan, Kenya, Ukraine, Australia, Norway, and Kirgizstan.
