Poland-US talks on Asia-Pacific region

Deputy Foreign Minister Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski met today with US State Department China Coordinator and Deputy Assistant Secretary Mark Lambert.

The talks focused on Poland’s and US’ engagement in the Asia-Pacific region.

Deputy Minister Bartoszewski presented general principles and objectives of Poland’s policy towards that region. Both sides agreed that the said part of the world has become increasingly important in global politics and for economic and technological development.

Also, the interlocutors highlighted the significance of China as a key international partner for Poland and the US alike. Speaking on behalf of their respective governments, they expressed willingness to maintain constructive and stable relations with that country.
