The deputy ministers discussed the current state of bilateral relations and the potential for their further development and exchanged views on the security situation in the Persian Gulf region and Central and Eastern Europe.

The two sides noted the impact of the conflict between Iran and the United States on the global economy, with particular regard to the fuel market. They also addressed threats to critical infrastructure resulting from the escalation of Houthi activities.

Emphasis was placed on the need to maintain continued diplomatic dialogue—even amidst escalating hostilities—as well as on the need for strict adherence to the principles of international law and the UN Charter.
