Polish and Ukrainian foreign ministers talked in Warsaw

The ministers discussed the impact of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit in Poland and agreed that it will add dynamics to current bilateral relations. Minister Czaputowicz welcomed President Zelenskyy’s promise of 31 August to give green light to the Polish side to start search operations in Ukraine. As a follow-up to the presidents’ arrangements, the foreign ministers also discussed transportation issues at the border crossings and the cooperation of customs services.

The foreign ministers exchanged their views on the future of the Normandy Format and other forms of international community’s involvement in Ukraine.

Besides, Minister Czaputowicz offered to organise study visits for Ukrainian deputies and the staff of the Presidential Office and the Cabinet of Ministers. This would be an opportunity for both sides to share their experiences in the areas of their respective competencies.

The ministers also discussed the prospects for the Polish-Ukrainian Partnership Forum.
