Polish–Turkish political consultations

Deputy Foreign Minister Marek Prawda held talks with his Turkish counterpart, Mehmet Kemal Bozay, in Warsaw today.
The deputy ministers reaffirmed a very good state of bilateral relations, as well as Poland’s and Türkiye’s similar assessment of the most important issues concerning European security and international situation. The diplomats expressed confidence that there is the need and the potential for further enhancement of the Polish–Turkish ties.
During today’s consultations, the participants also discussed Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union and a number of issues related to the ongoing EU–Türkiye cooperation. In this context, it was highlighted that Poland invariably supports Türkiye’s European prospects.
The consultations also covered the challenge that Russia’s aggression against Ukraine continues to pose to European security. Furthermore, Deputy Ministers Prawda and Bozay exchanged opinions on the prospects for the transatlantic cooperation and the current situation in the Middle East.
