The Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy is a cyclical conference, organised since 2012 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with international and local organisations concerned with human rights and democracy, as well as the representatives of civil society and the academia.

This year’s edition, organised in cooperation with the Community of Democracies and the Polish Institute of Foreign Affairs (PISM), aims to provide an opportunity to discuss building of resilience of democracy in the times of COVID-19 by the governments, civil society and international organisations.

The discussion was attended by ambassadors of Argentina, Sweden and South Korea in Warsaw, as well as the representatives of Collegium Civitas, PISM, and East Center.

In his speech, Minister Rau stressed the importance of education in building resilient democracies. “Education is a key determinant of emergence and sustainability of democracy. It promotes political participation at the individual level and fosters a collective sense of civic duty,” he said.

This year, Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy was held in the hybrid form. Watch our coverage of the conference on MFA’s youtube channel.
