Launched in 2015 by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Enlargement Academy is a training project that was initially offered to civil servants from the six Western Balkan countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. The goal behind the initiative is to provide European integration support to those countries by sharing Poland’s own experience in this field. This year’s edition also has brought together, for the first time, participants from Georgia, Moldova, Türkiye, and Ukraine.

During their week-long stay in Warsaw, the group of fourteen diplomats from the Western Balkan countries, Türkiye, and selected countries of the Eastern Partnership will be taking part in a number of discussions and meetings on European integration.
