Statement on Israel's West Bank settlements

We strongly oppose the project to build new Jewish housing units in the West Bank's E1 area. The decision taken by the Israeli government on Wednesday 20 August 2025 is in flagrant breach of international law.

Statement

Poland advocates the two-state solution which implies the peaceful coexistence of Israel and Palestine within the 1967 borders, as confirmed by UN Security Council resolutions.

We call upon Israel’s authorities to stop supporting the illegal settlement movement on the West Bank. We condemn all acts of aggression against Palestinians in this context.

We are communicating with the EU’s diplomacy and our European partners to come up with a joint response to these measures.
