Poland condemns shooting at journalists from the Al Jazeera station at Jenin in the occupied Palestinian territories this morning. The shots that killed Shireen Abu Akla and seriously injured the second reporter also hit the values of civilized world - freedom of the press and the right to information. The circumstances of this tragic event should be impartially investigated and those responsible should be brought to justice and punished. The situation in which civilians are killed during a military operation should not have happened at all. We convey our condolences to the family and relatives of the killed journalist and wish the injured journalist a speedy recovery.
