UK/Poland Cultural Season 2025 inaugurated

Undersecretary of State at the MFA Anna Radwan-Röhrenschef opened the KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival in London as an inauguration of the UK/Poland Cultural Season.

The Season’s programme features over a hundred events in such areas as film, theatre, visual arts, design, and music, to be hosted by several dozen cities in the United Kingdom and Poland.

In her speech, Deputy Minister Radwan-Röhrenschef underlined that the Season is of crucial importance for the relations between Poland and the United Kingdom, countries that share values, opinions about the world, and a history, building Europe’s future together.

“We both are responsible for and committed to the security of Europe and its neighbourhood. Today, when the security of European citizens is at stake, Poland and the United Kingdom actively support the strengthening of NATO’s readiness and capabilities, especially on the Alliance’s eastern flank,” said Deputy Minister Anna Radwan-Röhrenschef.

She also stressed that thanks to its ongoing Presidency of the EU Council, Poland plays an important role in building future relations between London and the European Union.

“We intend to shape these relations in a way which will contribute to a stronger sense of security and wellbeing among the citizens,” the deputy minister said.

The opening of the UK/Poland Cultural Season was also attended by Marshal of the Polish Senate Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska and Minister of Culture and National Heritage Hanna Wróblewska.
