Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome
10.07.2025
On 10-11 July, Rome hosted the fourth edition of the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC). It was attended by Undersecretary of State Marek Prawda as a member of the delegation headed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Held yearly, the URC brings together representatives of states, local governments, businesses, and NGOs to analyse Ukraine’s needs and devise specific recovery mechanisms. This year’s event focused on four thematic dimensions, namely business, human, local and regional, and EU-related (Ukraine’s accession and reforms).
Poland firmly reiterated its support for Ukraine in the country’s efforts towards reform and modernisation. While in Rome, Undersecretary of State Marek Prawda signed a UK–Poland Declaration on Future Ukraine’s Recovery and Reconstruction Partnership, after taking part in a Yalta European Strategy discussion panel organised before the URC.
The Ukraine Recovery Conference is a platform for discussion between government representatives and experts on how to strengthen international support for and investment in Ukraine’s recovery, reform, and modernisation, as well as how to integrate these processes with the country’s accession to the European Union. The next URC may possibly be held in Poland.
