UN Youth Delegates for upcoming UN General Assembly session nominated

14.08.2025

The MFA and the Chairman of the Public Benefit Committee, in cooperation with the Competition Committee, have selected the delegates to attend the upcoming session of the United Nations General Assembly. Over the next year, Aleksandra Kobyłecka and Julia Oleszyńska will represent the young generation of Poles at meetings and events during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, scheduled to open in September.

Becoming a youth delegate grants the nominees a unique opportunity to represent Poland at the world’s most important multilateral cooperation fora and to exchange experiences with delegates and diplomats from all around the globe.

Youth delegates become part of the Republic of Poland’s official delegation to the UN General Assembly. They also participate in the work of the UN bodies, especially those responsible for social issues, such as the role of young people in the UN’s activities. Delegates also get to organise events that aim to advance Poland’s priorities at multilateral fora. Finally, their role involves spreading knowledge on the United Nations’ role and activity among the Polish youth. The legal basis for the delegates’ tasks is a volunteer agreement concluded with the Council for Dialogue with the Young Generation.

Congratulations and good luck to the new delegates!
