Videoconference of foreign ministers of the Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh

“Currently, the Coalition’s most important task is further stabilisation of Iraqi and Syrian territories set free from Daesh influence, taking into consideration the new challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz on a Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh Small Group’s videoconference.
The head of Polish diplomacy assured of Poland’s support for the new government in Iraq. He also mentioned the need to continue Global Coalition’s activities and full implementation of its goals as soon as the circumstances permit. Minister Jacek Czaputowicz also reaffirmed Poland’s ongoing commitment to combat terrorism under the Global Coalition through our participation in the NATO training mission and support for the UN Development Programme in Iraq.
Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo chaired the virtual meeting of 28 foreign ministers and representatives of the EU, NATO and Interpol.
A joint communique was adopted at the end of the meeting.
