Poland in the EU

The de-escalation of containment measures introduced in connection with the Covid-19 pandemic, budgetary issues and the Conference on the Future of Europe were the main topics of the meeting of ministers for European affairs held in the form of video conference. Poland was represented by Minister Konrad Szymański.

The discussion took place in the context of the gradual lifting of restrictions and the lessons learnt since the start of the pandemic. Poland was represented by Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Gliński, Minister of Culture and National Heritage.

Ministers held an exchange of views on the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on education and training across the EU, in particular in the context of the gradual lifting of containment measures. Poland was represented by the Minister of National Education, Dariusz Piontkowski.

The main topics of the meeting of EU foreign ministers were the Middle East Peace Process and the Southern Neighborhood of the EU. Poland was represented by Minister Jacek Czaputowicz.

Ministers in charge of internal market and industry met to discuss and provide input to the European Commission's finalisation of the upcoming EU recovery plan.

The Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU together with the National Centre for Emissions Management (KOBiZE) organized a video conference, during which experts exchanged views on the challenges related to the transformation towards climate neutrality and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the implementation of the EU's ambitious climate and energy policy.

The health ministers of EU Member States hold a political debate on the challenges of providing access to medicines which has become increasingly urgent during the ongoing crisis related to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
