4th edition of the “Family First!” competition decided!

The “Family First!” competition is addressed to the social organisations, including among others, associations, foundations and church organisations supporting marriages as the best care and educational environment for children, which prepare young people to handle the challenges of family life and establish the unique family-friendly environment.

Family First Competition aims at strengthening the ties of marriage and parental bonds and to encourage young people to start a family.  Settlement of the 4th edition of the competition - in this year of slightly different and extended scope - is already behind us.  Family-oriented campaigns will be supplemented by establishment of the clubs, in which local parents will improve their parental competences and skills. This is a brand new solution.

This-year edition of the competition attracted wide interest of the non-governmental organisations, in effect of which as many as 415 applications were submitted. I would like to thank you for all offers. Co-financing will cover 59 projects for the total amount of 17 million Polish Zlotys – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

Numerous conferences, trainings, workshops, studies and reports, guides for couples and families and many other valuable projects adding up to the positive image of a family are still before us.

The social organisations identify the families’ needs and problems well and are able to find easy ways to face them. They use various meetings, workshops and courses to reach the people in their local communities and share proven and well-tried methods enabling the parents to improve their skills and build the relations – says Deputy Minister Barbara Socha, Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy.

Co-financing within the already completed 4 editions of the “Family First!” covered 168 projects for the total amount of PLN 42 450 000.

Accepting the offer is not equivalent to final approval of the cost estimate and schedule. Each Offeror selected for project co-financing, will be notified by email by the Office of the Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy.
