09.10.2024On 12 June 2024, the Act on supporting parents in active work and childrearing was published in the Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland and thus became part of Poland’s legal framework. The Act will introduce 3 new benefits for parents raising young children. The Social Insurance Institution will accept applications for the new benefits starting from 1 October 2024. The scheme constitutes the implementation of the announcement made by the Prime Minister Donald Tusk in his exposé.

The 'Family 800+' programme is to support families in partially covering the expenses of raising a child, including childcare and meeting the child's living needs.

The “Good Start” programme is an investment in Polish children’s education. It provides PLN 300 of single support for all students starting a school year. Families shall receive the benefit irrespectively of the income. It provides support for 4.6 million students.

A system of discounts and additional rights for families 3+. The Large Family Card functions both, in public institutions and in private companies.

The Act on establishing the Solidarity Fund for Persons with Disabilities entered into force on 1 January 2019.
