Fourth meeting of the Equality Directive Implementation Team

On 17 April 2025, the fourth meeting of the Team for the Implementation of the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council to strengthen the application of the principle of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value between men and women through pay transparency and enforcement mechanisms was held at the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy. Representatives of the ministry gave presentations on job evaluation.
The fourth meeting of the Team for the Implementation of the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council to strengthen the application of the principle of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value between men and women through pay transparency and enforcement mechanisms, held on 17 April 2025, was dedicated to evaluation of job positions.
During Thursday's meeting of the Team, representatives of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy and the Central Institute for Labour Protection – National Research Institute discussed selected issues related to the evaluation of job positions.
- Presentation entitled ‘Directive 2023/970 – remuneration transparency. Evaluation of job positions’ was given by Agnieszka Bolesta, Head of the International Labour Law Division in the Labour Law Department.
- Presentation entitled ‘Evaluation of job positions as a tool for assessment for the purposes of Directive 2023/970’ was given by Dr Agnieszka Gajek, Head of the Chemical Safety Laboratory at the Central Institute for Labour Protection – National Research Institute.
- Presentation entitled ‘Directive 2023/970 – remuneration transparency. Spanish tool for evaluation of job positions’ was given by Aneta Słowińska, Chief Specialist in the International Labour Law Division of the Labour Law Department.
Next, the participants discussed possible tools and methods for the evaluation of job positions, and also pointed out potential difficulties in this area.
About the Equality Directive Implementation Team
The Team for the Implementation of the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council to strengthen the application of the principle of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value between men and women through pay transparency and enforcement mechanisms was established by the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy, Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, in December 2024. Its first meeting took place on 16 January 2025.
The team consists of:
- Chairman Liwiusz Laska, Director General of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy;
- Deputy Chairman Mateusz Hebda, Director of the Minister's Office at the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy;
- Deputy Chairwoman Mirosława Brzostek-Kleszcz, Deputy Director in the Labour Law Department of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy;
- Representatives of the State Labour Inspection, Statistics Poland, Ministry of Justice, Personal Data Protection Office and Public Procurement Office;
- Representatives of the Departments at the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy: Economic Analysis, Dialogue and Social Partnership, Labour Law, Legal Affairs, Labour Market and the Department for Equal Treatment at the Prime Minister's Office.
Key tasks of the Team
The tasks of the Equality Directive Implementation Team include:
- analysis of the economic and legal impact of the developed solutions.
- comprehensive analysis of the Directive's provisions,
- preparation of draft legislation to implement it,
- preparation of recommendations on how to proceed with the draft legislation,
