The Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg informed about the situation related to the influx of citizens from war affected Ukraine to our country and the procedures for their admission. She pointed to the solutions resulting from the special Act with regard to the support for citizens of Ukraine.

As the majority of people arriving to Poland are women with children, it is necessary to expand the network points of care for children below three. Appropriate solutions are also included in the new Act.

Minister Maląg stressed that we are open to cooperation, learning from each other and obtaining good practices. She announced that at the meeting of the EU Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Protection Council in Brussels on 14 March, she will call for solidary cooperation among the European Union countries. „It is important that citizens of Ukraine feel that they can expect the support of all European Union countries.”

Minister Raab expressed her appreciation for what the Polish government, but also all Poles, are doing as regards helping citizens of Ukraine. The current wave of refugees significantly exceeds the number of refugees during the previous migration crisis.

The Ministers decided to continue their cooperation, so as to exchange the best practices in the field of integration of refugees – in everyday life, in the labour market, through the offer of further learning.
