02.01.2023At the beginning of 2023, the minimum salary in Poland increased to PLN 3,490. This is PLN 480 more than the year ago. The minimum hourly salary is PLN 22.80. – I would like to remind that another increase in the minimum salary awaits us on 1 July, then it will amount to PLN 3,600 – indicates the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg.

29.12.2022Seniors deserve to live in a peaceful, dignified and active manner. – The senior policy is a priority for our government. Only this year, we allocated PLN 44 billion for all activities addressed to seniors. We paid not only the thirteenth, but also the fourteenth pension and we want old age and disability pensioners to receive it also next year – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg. In turn, the support for persons with disabilities in 2022 amounted to more than PLN 37 billion.

In the past year, the challenge was not only to draw up the appropriate legislation that would allow citizens of Ukraine to work in Poland, but also to introduce solutions that will result in the stabilisation of the labour market. – This proved successful – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg.

27.12.2022For families with young children, the year 2022 started with the entry into force of Family Care Capital. From April, it is possible to submit applications for the government co-financing for a stay of young children in nurseries and children’s clubs. The year is concluded with the announcement of changes in the Toddler+ programme, thanks to which more than 100 thousand new places of care for the youngest children will be added. We are shifting into sixth gear – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg.

The topic of the meeting was, inter alia, a draft directive on improving working conditions through online platforms.

06.12.2022According to the Ministry of Family and Social Policy’s estimates, at the end of November 2022, the registered unemployment rate stood at 5.1%. „The situation in the labour market is stable, the unemployment rate remained unchanged when compared to the previous month” – emphasises the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

01.12.2022The Sejm of the Republic of Poland held the first reading of the draft amendment to the Act on counteracting family violence and some other acts. The amendment provides for, inter alia, replacing the term „family violence” with „domestic violence”.

01.12.2022The Sejm adopted an amendment to the Labour Code, which permanently introduces the possibility of performing remote work. The regulations in this area have been prepared by the Ministry of Family and Social Policy.

30.11.2022Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki together with Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family and Social Policy, presented the assumptions of the new edition of the Toddler+ programme. “We want every parent, even in the smallest commune, when they decide to take up professional challenges, to have no problem finding a modern and friendly place where their child will be properly cared for. Now we are in sixth gear and we significantly increase the funding of the programme” – says Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family and Social Policy.
