From this year, persons receiving low EWK pensions will have the right to receive a compensatory benefit increasing their pensions to the amount of the care benefit. The compensatory benefits granted are the implementation of the demands submitted by the community of persons with disabilities and their caregivers.

President Andrzej Duda signed the Act amending the Act on foreigners and certain other acts. The amendment to the regulations is to streamline and accelerate proceedings regarding the stay and work of foreigners.

- The core of the Polish Order are changes in the tax policy, beneficial for Polish families – said Minister Marlena Maląg at the press briefing. The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Finance, Jan Sarnowski, President of ZUS Prof. Gertruda Uścińska and Chief Labour Inspector, Katarzyna Łażewska-Hrycko.

The funds of the “For Life” programme will be almost two times higher. Its scope has also been extended. Deputy Minister Wdówik stressed the role of cooperation of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Science in implementing the programme.

The higher minimum remuneration and minimum hourly rate, higher expenditures on personal assistants to persons with disabilities, changes in social pensions and new programmes implemented under the Polish Order. The year 2022 brings important changes for families, employees, elderly people and persons with disabilities.

As from the New Year, the “Family Care Capital” government programme was started. This is a benefit in the amount of PLN 12 thousand for the second and subsequent children aged 12-35 months and the financial support for the care in nurseries, in the case of parents of children not receiving the benefit.

As from 1 January 2022, the minimum remuneration will increase to PLN 3,010. It is essential to take measures to improve the financial situation of households, especially in the case of the lowest earners. This group of employees should be particularly protected at the present time when we are still facing the consequences of the pandemic – says Marlena Maląg, the Minister of Family and Social Policy.

Almost two years after its outbreak, it is clear that our economy and labour market have demonstrated the greater resistance than in many other countries of the European Union. The situation in the labour market is stable – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

The Council of Ministers adopted a resolution on the amendments to the “For Life” programme. Most of the measures will be continued in their existing or amended form. As from 2022, new measures will also be implemented, inter alia, those to prepare young people with disabilities for entering the labour market. The budget of the programme will also increase. In the years 2022-2026, the government wants to allocate about 6 billion PLN for the programme implementation.
