The higher minimum remuneration and minimum hourly rate, higher expenditures on personal assistants to persons with disabilities, changes in social pensions and new programmes implemented under the Polish Order. The year 2022 brings important changes for families, employees, elderly people and persons with disabilities.

As from the New Year, the “Family Care Capital” government programme was started. This is a benefit in the amount of PLN 12 thousand for the second and subsequent children aged 12-35 months and the financial support for the care in nurseries, in the case of parents of children not receiving the benefit.

As from 1 January 2022, the minimum remuneration will increase to PLN 3,010. It is essential to take measures to improve the financial situation of households, especially in the case of the lowest earners. This group of employees should be particularly protected at the present time when we are still facing the consequences of the pandemic – says Marlena Maląg, the Minister of Family and Social Policy.

In the global economy, the year 2021 was the period of mitigating the negative effects of the coronavirus pandemic. Almost two years after its outbreak, it is clear that our economy and labour market have demonstrated the greater resistance than in many other countries of the European Union. The Council of Ministers adopted a resolution on the amendments to the “For Life” programme. Most of the measures will be continued in their existing or amended form.
