Communication No. 71 on the GIFI training for obligated institutions operating in the field of virtual currencies

With reference to the GIFI Communication No. 67 on the introduction of the obligation to report quarterly, we would like to inform you that on December 15, 2023, training will be conducted for obligated institutions referred to in Art. 2.1.12 of the Act of 1 March 2018 on counteracting money laundering and financing of terrorism, hereinafter referred to as the Act.

Trainings are intended for employees of obligated institutions operating in the field of virtual currencies. Persons should be selected for training who, within the scope of their duties, will perform tasks related to quarterly reporting to the GIFI or knowledge in the field of training will positively affect the performance of their professional duties.

You can apply for training in the GIFI IT System (SIGIIF) via the form available at   https://www.giif.mofnet.gov.pl/#/glowna/szkolnia-unit

Applications for the training are accepted until December 14, 2023. 12:00.

Below you will find the most important information related to the training on 15 December 2023:

  • Subject of the training: Quarterly reporting to the GIFI by obligated institutions operating in the field of virtual currencies.
  • Training is directed only to obligated institutions referred to in Art. 2.1.12 of the Act.
  • Form of training: online.
  • Participation in the training is free of charge.
  • Applications will be open by 14 December 2023 at the latest. 12:00. There are no restrictions on the number of people reported for training from an obligated institution.
  • In order to apply for the training, it is necessary to fill in the application form.
  • Participants will be informed by a separate e-mail about their eligibility for the training.
  • After the training, no certificates of completion of the training will be issued.
  • Training does not fulfil the training obligation laid down in Article 52 of the Act.
  • A link to the training will be sent before the start of the training.
