Department's responsibilities:

• coordination of economic and financial aspects of Poland's membership in the European Union;
• cooperation with international financial institutions and selected international organizations;
• international bilateral cooperation in financial and economic field;
• coordination of Ministry of Finance's activities within the Committee for European Affairs;
• ministry of Finance's contribution to the European Semester's implementation;
• the European Union annual budget and Poland's participation in the European Union own resources system;
• management of outstanding and restructured debt of selected countries;
• coordination of the Ministry of Finance's activities for the Polish development aid;
• preparing legal opinions on compliance with the European Union law of draft legislation within the Ministry of Finance's competencies;
• coordination of Ministry of Finance's participation in the proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union and the EFTA Court.
