Paying Authority Department's main tasks:

• creating and executing the European fund's budget which covers EU and EFTA member states funds (EFTA - the European Free Trade Agreement),
• managing funds from EU and EFTA memeber states,
• managing the state budget reserves for co-financing the EU programmes,
• certifying the expenditures within the EU programmes,
• monitoring the process of concluding the agreements within the EU programmes,
• keeping the register of entities exluded from the EU financial assistance,
• managing legal aspects of the EU programmes and EFTA  funds,
• preparing accreditation and monitoring the Paying Agencies within the programmes of the Common Agricultural Policy,
• implementing the technical assistance projects financed from the EU and EFTA funds.
