Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Waldemar Buda and representatives of the Marshal's Office - Marshal Andrzej Bętkowski and Deputy Marshal Renata Janik - signed the Program Contract. It is an agreement that will form the basis for negotiations with the European Commission on the "European Funds for Świętokrzyskie for 2021-2027.”

The World Bank has become the technical partner to the Partnership Initiative of Cities, a Polish program designed to facilitate knowledge exchange between cities and to support their sustainable development, according to the agreement signed by the World Bank and Polish Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy on Friday.

25.01.2022Inauguration of formal negotiations of the Partnership Agreement with the European CommissionOn January 25, a meeting was held to inaugurate the formal negotiations of the Partnership Agreement for 2021-2027. In the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy (MDFRP) we hosted representatives of the European Commission (EC). The Partnership Agreement (PA) is the most important document defining in what Poland will invest European Funds for 2021-2027. PA responds to both Polish development needs and EU priorities. It concerns EUR 76 billion from the EU's cohesion policy and from the Just Transformation Fund.

We are also one of the leaders in terms of investing EU funds. The summary of the eighth year of implementation of the 2014-2020 financial perspective and the release of funds from the new EU budget were discussed by the members of the Interdepartmental Team for European Union Funds. The event was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak.

Join the WUF11 Youth Council!The 11th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF11) - the largest UN event dedicated to urban development - will take place in June 2022 in Katowice, Poland. Young people are involved in the preparations for WUF11 as part of the WUF11 Youth Council. In August, the government plenipotentiary for the organisation of the event, Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak, formally established the council. On 1 September, open recruitment was launched.

03.08.2021Law on the organisation of WUF11 by Poland signed by the PresidentPresident of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda signed a law on special solutions related to the organization of the 11th session of the World Urban Forum in Katowice. In June next year, the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy together with UN-Habitat and the City of Katowice will organise the world's largest event on urban issues.
