Poland in Iceland

On September 4th, 2025 representatives of Polish and Icelandic companies participated in the "Made in Poland" forum, organized by the Polish-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Reykjavik. The event was attended by Polish entrepreneurs operating in Iceland as well as Icelandic businessmen and company owners active in Poland. The initiative aimed, among other things, to establish and strengthen business contacts and cooperation.

In August 2025, the Polish Embassy in Reykjavik, together with members of O.N.E., and in collaboration with the Reykjavik Jazz Festival (RJF), organized a series of cultural events and workshops.

The EU Stands with Ukraine is a joint op-ed by the Ambassador of the EU, the Ambassadors of EU Member States, and the Chargé d'Affaires of Spain. The joint op-ed was published in Morgunblaðið on 24. february 2024 to mark two years of Russia's full scale invasion of Ukraine.

Since 24 February 2022, when the Russian Federation started its unjustified and unprovoked aggression against Ukraine, we have been witnessing appalling scenes of harm, pain, and suffering inflicted on hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians for days on end. The tragic lot of millions of civilian refugees, mostly women and children, and the enormity of damage and destruction caused by the war bring to mind the darkest periods in the contemporary history of Europe and the world.

On December 6th, 2021 the Platform Culture Central Europe (PCCE) presented a concert of film music “Cinema in Music – Central European Composers for the Cinema” at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik.

When on 3 May 1791 the Four-Year Sejm also called the Great Sejm adopted The Government Act of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth later known as the Constitution of 3 May, the Polish-Lithuanian state became the Europe’s first and the world’s second that passed the basic law. For its time, it was a progressive and bold legal act which initiated a number of reforms. It also constituted a crowning achievement of the centuries-old links between Poland and Lithuania.

On the occasion of the upcoming Easter, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland Gerard Pokruszyński together with the team of the Polish Embassy, would like to wish you all, good health, happiness and joy, especially during the difficult time of the pandemic.
