Green Internet – join to the webinar!

Important information for young people: are you interested in the Internet and you want to protect the environment at the same time? That’s great! Feel free to take part in the “3xG” webinar. We will meet on 22 April, but you can already sign up for this event! We're looking forward to seeing you!

The webinar is part of the preparations for the IGF Youth Summit. The summit, in turn, is one of the accompanying events of Internet Governance Forum 2021, to be held in Katowice from December 6 to 10.

3 x Green

As part of the preparations for the IGF Youth Summit, we organise a series of webinars for the youth from all over the world. The first one will take place soon – on 22 April at 12:00 UTC.

“The topic of the first webinar concerns an issue which has become truly important in the present times. Many people wonder if we can change the world without leaving home? For more than a year, we have been staying at homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic – it is from here that we learn and work. It is worth considering how this new remote mode of life affects the environment around us,” says Emilia Zalewska, member of the Youth IGF Poland Steering Committee.

Youth IGF (YIGF) is an initiative designed to integrate and involve young people in a substantive discussion on the governance of Internet. It enables young people from all over the world taking various steps to promote digital development.

“We encourage everyone who is interested in the world of Internet governance to engage in the discussion. The topic of the nearest webinar is ‘3xG’ – Green Internet, Green Tech, Green Generation. These issues are particularly interesting for young people,” added Emilia Zalewska.

The video conference will be attended by representatives of the United Nations (UN), the European Commission, members of YIGF from Poland, Germany and Ghana.

We also care about the presence of young people from all over Poland. Everyone will be able to speak, ask a question.

To attend the meeting, you just have to register by filling in the simple on-line form.

The meeting is organized jointly with the UN, NASK and young activists from Youth IGF Poland. The event is free of charge.

UN international digital summit – IGF 2020 in Poland!

Poland will host IGF 2021 from 6 to 10 December 2021. We will meet at the International Congress Centre in Katowice.

Internet Governance Forum is an international initiative of the UN that aims to initiate and facilitate global discussion about the development of the Internet and about the most current and urgent issues related to its functioning. It is attended by heads of states from all around the world, representatives of business – including the largest and most well-known Internet companies from various continents, as well as NGO activists and members of the academia. Theorists and practitioners.
