Positive assessment of the work of the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) - Statement by the President of Poland

Today, the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, issued a statement on the 2024 Report of the National Broadcasting Council. In doing so, he confirmed the continuation of the current composition of the National Broadcasting Council's term of office, giving a positive assessment of its activities.
‘The acceptance of the 2024 report by the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, is a positive assessment of the work of the KRRiT. We will continue to defend freedom of speech, pluralism, and media independence in Poland, as well as protecting citizens' rights to information,’ emphasised KRRiT Chair Agnieszka Glapiak.
Statement by the President of the Republic of Poland
Karol Nawrocki, President of the Republic of Poland, issued a statement in connection with the rejection by the Sejm and Senate of the National Broadcasting Council's report on its activities in 2024.
‘Having reviewed the Sejm's resolution of 25 June 2025 on the National Broadcasting Council's 2024 activities report (Monitor Polski 646), the Senate's resolution of 25 September 2025 on the same report (Monitor Polski 1022), and the arguments presented by the Sejm and Senate in support of their rejection of the 2024 activities report, I declare that I categorically disagree with the arguments contained in the above resolutions. Therefore, I do not confirm the expiry of the National Broadcasting Council members' term of office.’
