The National Broadcasting Council verifies all Russian and Belarusian TV programs entered in the register

The National Broadcasting Council in coordination with the Government Plenipotentiary for Cyber Security Janusz Cieszyński, is urgently conducting a verification of all Russian and Belarusian TV programs distributed in Poland.

Manifestacja

The programs are checked for dangerous disinformation activities and content threatening the security and defense of the state.

Decisions on these matters are pending.

By deleting these programs from the register, the NBC contributes to EU-wide efforts to prevent the spread of propaganda, manipulation and disinformation: https://www.gov.pl/web/krrit/rada-unii-europejskiej-zawiesila-rosyjskie-programy-telewizyjne

On 1 March 2022, the Council of the European Union adopted Regulation 2022/350  suspending the broadcasting, facilitation of broadcasting and any other distribution of Russian programs, i.e.:

RT- Russia Today English, RT- Russia Today UK, RT - Russia Today Germany, RT - Russia Today France, RT- Russia Today Spanish and Sputnik.

Already on 24 February 2022, i.e. on the first day of the war in Ukraine, the National Broadcasting Council passed a resolution to remove the following Russian programs from the register of distributed programs: RT (Russia Today), RT Documentary, RTR Planeta, Sojuz TV, Russija 24.
