07.12.2023On 1 January 2024, an amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Sport and Tourism of 17 May 2022 on monthly sports grants will come into effect. The amendment will increase the amounts of monthly sports grants for athletes representing our country at international sporting events in Olympic sports.

28.11.2023For the twentieth time, the main and most prestigious awards in the Polish tourism industry have been presented. At the twentieth anniversary gala of the Competition for the Best Tourism Product certified by the PTO, held in Warsaw, 16 tourist products were awarded. The 2023 Gold Certificate was presented to Bieszczady Railbike Tours.

07.11.2023Social tourism - travel for people with special needs is nowadays a natural priority for tour operators, travel agencies and tourist information points. Everyone travels, including people with disabilities and seniors. This segment is growing because of the demographic trend of population aging. The national Programme Accessibility Plus 2018-2025 was discussed at the 11th Forum of the Polish Tourism Organisation and Regional and Local Tourism Organisations.

11.10.2023In connection with the outbreak of the war in Israel the Minister of Sport and Tourism, in consultation with the Minister of Finance, have considered that in the country unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances have occurred that constitute grounds for launching payments from the Tourism Aid Fund.

11.10.2023Minister of Sport and Tourism Kamil Bortniczuk has allocated an additional amount of PLN 2,106,790 for the implementation of the “Programme of co-funding, from the state budget, of tasks related to the national team members’ preparations for Olympic Games as well as preparations for and participation in the World Championships and European Championships in Olympic sports”.

28.09.2023The European Congress of Sport and Tourism was held in Zakopane from 26 to 28 September. The second edition of the event brought together representatives of the Polish sports and tourism industry. This year, the congress was also an opportunity to sum up the Third European Games Kraków-Małopolska, co-hosted by the Małopolska province that was also responsible for organizing the congress.

Every year on 27 September countries’ tourism industries gather to discuss challenges, the current situation and prospects. This year, the Polish Celebration of World Tourism Day took place during the prestigious Second European Congress of Sport and Tourism in Zakopane.

17.08.2023Starting from today, group tours from China to Poland are resumed. It is a positive milestone in the recovery of our inbound tourism, said Deputy Minister Andrzej Gut-Mostowy commenting on the positive effect of tourism cooperation between the countries.

03.08.2023Polish clubs, sports associations and their member athletes have been representing our country on the international arena for many years as our sports ambassadors abroad. The project of Poland’s promotion through sport, initiated by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and carried out by the Polish Tourist Organization as the project operator, will systematize and intensify activities in this area.

01.08.2023The Warsaw Uprising began on 1 August 1944 at 5pm, following a decision by Home Army Commander General Tadeusz Komorowski 'Bór'. On the 79th anniversary of the event Minister of Sport and Tourism Kamil Bortniczuk laid flowers at the bust of Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński and the plaque to his memory, and at the Monument of the Little Insurgent.
