Notification to the State Fire Service (PSP) upon Completion of Construction
In accordance with Article 29(4)(3)(c) of the Construction Law, photovoltaic devices with an installed electrical capacity greater than 6.5 kW are subject to a notification obligation to the State Fire Service authorities (hereinafter: “notification”).
Purpose of the notification
The purpose of the notification is to enhance fire safety.
When is notification required?
Notification is required for photovoltaic installations with an installed electrical capacity exceeding 6.5 kW.
Contents of the notification
The detailed procedure for coordinating the design with fire protection requirements, as well as the method and scope of notification regarding the coordination of the design, is described in the Regulation of the Minister of the Interior and Administration of 8 August 2023 on the coordination of the site development plan, architectural and construction design, technical design, and fire protection device design in terms of compliance with fire protection requirements.
Procedure
Notification of the photovoltaic installation should be submitted after the installation is completed.
Processing time
If the State Fire Service authorities do not take a position within 14 days from the date of receiving the notification, it is considered that no objections or comments have been raised.
Competent authority
The notification should be submitted to the local State Fire Service Command appropriate for the location of the investment.
Validity period of the notification
There is no need to resubmit the notification if the installation is carried out in accordance with the coordinated design.
Is there a fee for the notification?
Notification to the State Fire Service authorities is free of charge.
How can you appeal?
The coordination of the design may be annulled by way of an administrative ruling, which is subject to appeal.

The notification may be submitted electronically via the ePUAP platform.
