How to handle the matter

What you should know and who can use the service

In the report, you provide information on the amount of:
  • electricity generated from renewable energy sources in a small installation
  • electricity sold to the obligated seller, which was generated from renewable energy sources in a small installation and fed into the distribution network
  • electricity sold to end users
  • fuels used to generate electricity in the small installation and the types of those fuels
When to submit the report
The report must be submitted every six months – by the end of the month following the half-year period:
  • by 31 July – for the first half of the year
  • by 31 January – for the second half of the year
Important:
Submit the report for the first time for the half-year in which your company was entered into the register of small installation energy producers. Do this even if no energy was produced in the small installation.

The service can be completed at:
  • regional branches of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE)
  • the Energy Regulatory Office (URE)

1. Prepare and submit the report

Deadline

Submit the report every six months – by the end of the month following the half-year period:
  • by 31 July – for the first half of the year
  • by 31 January – for the second half of the year
Important:
Submit the report for the first time for the half-year in which your company was entered into the register of small installation energy producers. Do this even if no energy was produced in the small installation.

2. The office will accept your semi-annual report

The President of URE, upon receiving the report, may request documents or information on which the report is based.

Fees

The service is free of charge.
Additional fees may apply only if the service is carried out by a proxy.

Processing time

Your case will be handled immediately.
Do not wait for a response from the office, as none will be sent.

Good to know

Documentation

You are required to maintain documentation regarding the total amount of:
  • electricity generated from renewable energy sources in a small installation
  • electricity sold to the obligated seller, which was generated from renewable energy sources in a small installation and fed into the distribution network
  • fuels used to generate electricity in the small installation and the types of those fuels
  • electricity sold to end users
This data is necessary to correctly complete the report template.

Failure to submit the report

If you fail to submit the report on time or provide false information, you may be subject to a financial penalty imposed by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office.
The amount of the penalty for failure to submit the report on time or for providing false information is PLN 1,000.
