13.03.2024The British anti-air and anti-missile Sky Sabre system will stay in Poland for longerI would like to thank for the extraordinary support of Poland and Polish security. This anti-air and anti-missile system is an important matter. The security of NATO’s eastern flank is very important to us. We cannot do it alone. We are counting on our allies and Great Britain is a staunch ally of Poland. The minister declared that the anti-air and anti-missile Sky Sabre system will stay in Poland for longer. A decision has been reached to keep it in Poland until the end of the year – Deputy Prime Minister W. Kosiniak – Kamysz declared after the meeting with the Defence Secretary of Great Britain.

08.03.202425th Anniversary of Poland’s Accession to the North Atlantic Alliance„On March 12th, 1999, in the city of Independence in the United States of America Secretary of State Madeleine Albright has formally received the document ratifying our access to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. The time and place for this event are symbolic today, but back then it was an unequivocal and clear declaration, in which free and democratic Poland has definitively set out the vision of its security and set out the way in which it wishes to develop it further.

During my speech I emphasized spending on the armed forces, on national defense. We are the leader among NATO countries, we spend the most in relation to our GDP, more than 4%. More than 50% of the funds are spent on modernization of the military. This is extremely important for us, we show and set a good example. (…) This is vital in the context of the ongoing discussion, fulfilling the strategic goals" the head of the Ministry of Defense said after a meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels.

01.02.2024Poland strengthens military cooperation with DenmarkWe have signed a memorandum of understanding, to strengthen cooperation between our countries. This is a very important decision for us, as the previous agreement predates Poland's accession to NATO. (...) Our cooperation must be even stronger. And I can say with full responsibility that our alliance with Denmark has never been as strong as it is today. (...) We will align our activities in all domains that guarantee the security of our countries, but also guarantee the security of the countries of the free world, the countries of the European Union, the countries of NATO. We will do everything to make Poland, Denmark, Europe and the world safe - this is our most pressing task" - said Deputy Prime Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz after concluding talks with Denmark's defense minister.

23.01.2024DRAGON-24 - the most critical tactical examIn the first half of 2024, NATO will conduct a series of exercises under the overarching umbrella of STEADFAST DEFENDER-24 (STDE-24) exercise. The exercises, which will take place mainly in Central Europe, will involve some 90,000 troops from all NATO countries as well as Sweden. The exercises will test the ability of the Alliance's forces to deter and defend, including countering a potential adversary’s aggression against NATO countries.

23.01.2024Another meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact GroupOn January 23, the 18th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG), under US chairmanship, was held in a virtual format with the participation of nearly 50 partner countries and NATO and EU representatives. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak - Kamysz, who during his speech described the support for Ukraine implemented by the Polish side.
