- A holy mass at the grave of Saint John Paul II and a meeting at the Monte Cassino cemetery, a cemetery of Polish soldiers who died fighting for Poland, are events that we will remember for years. The presence in this places, in Rome and Monte Cassino, is proof that we remember and want to remember and that these figures and these events constitute a very important element of our national identity - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Minister of National Defence on Saturday in Rome.

- NATO's eastern flank countries are always ready to help our allies. We are an inseparable part of NATO and nobody can imagine NATO without us - said Mariusz Błaszczak, the minister of national defence during the meeting of defence ministers of the B9 countries.

Joint implementation of programs aimed at exchange of experiences between Polish and US military universities was the main topic of talks between Deputy Defence Minister Tomasz Zdzikot and Arnold Chacon, vice-president of National Defense University.

On March 12, 1999, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary were the first countries from the former Eastern Bloc to join NATO. In 2019, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Poland's membership in the North Atlantic Alliance.

In a place, that is important in nowadays functioning of NATO, because here is the highest-rank headquarters of the North Atlantic Alliance, that operates in Poland. This is the Multinational Corps North-East in Szczecin - said Minister Mariusz Blaszczak during his visit to Szczecin.

- We create a community that is the strongest alliance in the history of the world. We are a community of free states that guarantees security for all of us - said Mariusz Błaszczak, the minister of national defence during the meeting of Prime Ministers and Defence Ministers of the Visegrad Group countries (V4).

F-16, Rosomak, Krab, Leopard, Langusta were just some of the attractions that awaited all those who came on military picnics on Saturday, March 9, at 11.00, in 20 military units throughout the country organised under the slogan "20 years of Poland in NATO". It was part of the official celebrations organized on the occasion of Poland's accession to the structures of the North Atlantic Alliance in 1999.

- We are in a special place, 20 years ago Poland joined the North Atlantic Alliance. Here, soldiers of the 15th Mechanized Brigade and soldiers of units from the United States, Great Britain, Romania and Croatia train every day in Orzysz. This is the evidence of our solidarity, this is the dimension of our skills, the skills of allied troops - informed Mariusz Blaszczak, the Minister of National Defence during joint maneuvers of the Polish Armed Forces and the NATO battle group led by the United States.
