Minister of Justice – Waldemar Żurek
Born on January 6, 1970, in Chrzanów. Polish lawyer and civil law judge at the District Court in Kraków.
Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków.
He served for over 14 years as spokesperson for the Kraków District Court.
In 2002–2003, he worked as a senior specialist in the Department of Common Courts at the Ministry of Justice and took part in the work of the Civil Law Codification Commission.
In 2009 and 2010, he was seconded to the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution, where he served as secretary of the admissions commission for general legal training.
From 2010 to 2018, he was a member of the National Council of the Judiciary for two terms, also serving as its spokesperson.
