Study in Poland with the NAWA Banach Program

Students from Tanzania and Rwanda are invited to apply for the Banach NAWA Programme, offering fully funded Master's degree studies in Poland across a wide range of academic fields. Applications are open until 8 May (or until all places are filled).
Programme Objective
The Banach NAWA Programme enables talented graduates from developing countries, to undertake full-time second-cycle (Master’s) studies at Polish public universities, in either Polish or English. The programme is implemented by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as part of Poland’s development cooperation.
Its objective is to support the socio-economic development of partner countries by enhancing the education and professional qualifications of their citizens.
Programme benefits include
- Monthly scholarship of PLN 2,500
- Full exemption from tuition fees at public universities
- NAWA-funded preparatory course (for studies in Polish)
- One-time travel allowance of PLN 2,500
- Opportunity to study in Polish or English
- Polish language and culture course (for students on the English track)
The programme is open to Tanzanian nationals wishing to pursue Master’s studies in Poland across various fields of study. The full list of eligible countries is available here.

How to apply?
Applications must be submitted electronically via the NAWA system: https://programs.nawa.gov.pl/login
Required documents include:
- passport scan
- diploma/Bachelor’s degree certificate or confirmation from university
- confirmation of application to a Polish university
- language proficiency certificate
- video self-presentation (1–3 minutes)
