Poland in Tanzania

Please be advised that the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam, including the consular section, will be closed on 12 January 2026 due to observance of Zanzibar Revolution Day.

Under the Polish aid project, medical equipment was delivered to two regional hospitals in Dar es Salaam as well as to the Tanzania-Poland Emergency Medicine Training Centre, contributing to the strengthening of Tanzania's emergency medical care system.

As of January 1, 2026, a new tariff of consular fees comes into force in connection with the Regulation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of October 29, 2025.

This year's project, funded by Polish aid in the Ndotoi district of Tanzania, primarily aimed to increase local women's access to proper diagnostics and preventive care for infectious diseases.

On December 6th, the inaugural exhibition of "JUICE Tanzania" by the renowned Polish photographer Mickey Wyrozębski took place at Nafasi Art Space in Dar es Salaam. The opening was under the Honorary Patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam.

In 2025, with funding from Polish aid, a newly established school library at St. Maximilian Educational Centre in Segerea was equipped, improving learning conditions for secondary school students.

This year, Polish Aid supported a project aimed at launching a modern irrigation system for the maize fields belonging to the Kilacha Agriculture & Livestock Training Centre (KALTC).

On 28 November, the Embassy hosted a special reception to commemorate the 107th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence, bringing together members of the Polish community in Tanzania as well as Tanzanian alumni of Polish universities.

On 17 November 2025 we hosted a screening of the Polish film "Gods,” commemorating the 40th anniversary of Prof. Zbigniew Religa's groundbreaking achievement - the first successful heart transplant in Poland.

We visited the Kilombero Valley, Tanzania, to monitor a project implemented in partnership with the Southern Tanzania Elephant Project (STEP), aimed at strengthening local entrepreneurship and promoting environmental education in the region.
