Celebration of the 235th Anniversary of the Constitution of 3 May in Tanzania

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tanzania commemorated the 235th anniversary of the Constitution of 3 May during a reception in Dar es Salaam, highlighting the growing partnership between Poland and Tanzania.
On 29 April 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the United Republic of Tanzania organized a reception in Dar es Salaam to commemorate the 235th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of 3 May 1791.
During the event held in the gardens of the Embassy, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Sergiusz Wolski recalled the historic significance of the Constitution of 3 May and emphasized the growing relations between Poland and Tanzania. He highlighted expanding cooperation in investment and infrastructure, including the involvement of the Polish KUKE Corporation in supporting the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project, contributing to improved transport connectivity and regional integration.
The Guest of Honour, Hon. Dr. Ngwaru Maghembe (MP), Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of Tanzania, underlined the importance of further strengthening Polish-Tanzanian cooperation in trade, investment, knowledge exchange, healthcare, and diplomatic relations for the mutual development and prosperity of both countries.
The celebration gathered representatives of the Tanzanian government, diplomatic corps, business community, Polish diaspora, and Tanzanian graduates of Polish universities.
Guests also had the opportunity to visit the exhibition “Outstanding Polish Women”, prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, presenting remarkable women who have played an important role in Poland’s history, culture, and public life.
