The Academic Song and Dance Ensemble Jedliniok from Wrocław performed in Dar es Salaam at the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, presenting Polish culture and music.
On August 20 and 21, at the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam, the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences – Jedliniok – performed at Lido Slipway and at the Goethe-Institut, showcasing the beauty of Polish national and regional dances. Colorful costumes, vibrant music, singing, and dancing delighted the audience, sparking great interest both among the Polish community and Tanzanian spectators.
During their visit to Tanzania, the ensemble also took part in music and dance workshops organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam together with the Action Music Academy. Earlier, the artists had also performed in Zanzibar and in Mambo, located in northern mainland Tanzania, where they presented concerts and conducted workshops for the local community, including children.
Bringing together students of Wrocław universities, Jedliniok has been nurturing Polish folklore and tradition for over 50 years. With more than 3,000 concerts in Poland and abroad, the ensemble has repeatedly represented Poland on international stages.
