23.09.2025
Chargé d'affaires a.i. Sergiusz Wolski met with representatives of the Africa Help Foundation and leading medical experts to discuss cooperation on the Maternity Home in Ndotoi, focusing on laboratory diagnostics, maternal care, and tropical disease education.
On Monday, Chargé d’affaires a.i. Sergiusz Wolski welcomed Anna Walkowiak, Founder and President of the Africa Help Foundation, Dr. Monika Pintal-Ślimak, President of the National Council of Laboratory Diagnosticians (KRDL), and Dr. Anna Paczkowska from the Gynecology & Obstetrics Department of Środa Hospital.
The discussions focused on the Maternity Home in Ndotoi, including strengthening laboratory diagnostics, improving maternal and newborn care, and exploring opportunities for cooperation and knowledge exchange in the field of laboratory medicine for tropical diseases.
For years, the Africa Help Foundation, together with St. Paul’s Parish in Ndotoi, has implemented impactful development projects - from building wells and offering scholarships to expanding the Maternity Home.
The new project, running from March to November 2025 and partially funded by Polish Aid, aims to enhance women’s health by equipping the laboratory, training medical staff, educating the local community, and preparing facilities for Polish volunteers.
The Embassy expresses its appreciation for Africa Help’s dedication and the positive impact of their work in the Manyara region, and looks forward to continued cooperation in maternal health and laboratory medicine.
