Poland in Tanzania

Support of the Embassy and Polish aid in the field of peaceful coexistence of people and elephants and sustainable development of local communities, as well as the construction of a modern fire service were the topics of conversations between Ambassador Krzysztof Buzalski and the team of national park guards and NGOs in the Kilombero Valley.

On March 21-23, 2023, Ambassador Buzalski visited Kigali, where he participated in a geotechnical seminar organized by the Pietrucha Group and in the launch of a pilot street lighting project by LUG.

As of April 1st, 2023, the consular section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam restores the previous admission hours for consular clients.

On March 15, 2023, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam, in cooperation with the Embassy of Germany, organized a piano concert performed by the outstanding Polish pianist Jan Krzysztof Broja and presented the Polish-Ukrainian exhibition "Mom, I don't want war!" in connection with the recent anniversary of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The call for Stefan Banach Scholarship Programme, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Science, and NAWA - Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, has just been announced! The programme offers possibility of completing second-cycle studies in a full-time mode.

The Embassy of Poland in Dar es Salaam encourages everyone to read the below message by the President of the Republic of Poland on the anniversary of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Temporarily, from January 16th 2023 (Monday) the consular section of the Embassy will be open for the consular clients in visa and legalization matters in new office hours.

There will be no visa appeals on January 6th and 13th, 2023 (Fridays).

Ambassador Krzysztof Buzalski visited Udzungwa and the Kilombero Valley, where, as part of small grants financed within Polish Aid, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam has been supporting for several years the activities of a non-governmental STEP organization to protect Tanzania's biodiversity and achieve a state where people and wildlife may coexist without conflict. This is one of the challenges of our time.

Katarzyna Sobiecka, a representative of the Polish Embassy in Dar es Salaam, visited a laboratory of the APOPO non-governmental organization, whose mission is to train and use southern giant rats in order to provide innovative methods i.a. in the fight against tuberculosis, one of the infectious diseases causing the highest number of deaths in the world.
