The main agenda of the talks was strengthening economic relations between Poland and Rwanda, the global effects of Russian aggression against Ukraine, and cooperation in the field of defence and education.

President Duda thanked President Kagame for intensifying Polish-Rwandan relations over recent years, i.e. opening an embassy in Warsaw, welcoming the first Polish entrepreneurs, and meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda, Vincent Biruta, in Poland.

During the Polish-Rwandan Economic Round Table, President Andrzej Duda said that Rwanda is enjoying the growing interest of Polish entrepreneurs, taking into account the stability and large potential of this market, which makes this country an increasingly attractive economic partner for us.

The talks also concerned future investments. President Duda pointed out that many Polish companies are present on the Rwandan market. He emphasized that the most promising markets for cooperation are: energy, urban infrastructure, agricultural industry, machinery industry, equipment for the food industry, construction, management, including crisis management, water resources and cybersecurity.

The President also visited the Luna Smelter Tin Smelter in Kigali - the largest Polish and EU investment in Rwanda.

The Presidential Couple also visited the Educational Center for Blind Children in Kibeho, supported from the very beginning by the Polish authorities, also financially by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The President emphasized that the activities of Polish missionaries and nuns in Rwanda are an important element of bilateral relations. The institutions co-run by Polish missionaries in Rwanda include schools, health centers and a hospice.

During his visit to Rwanda, President Andrzej Duda was accompanied by Ambassador Krzysztof Buzalski and CDA Tomasz Gajc.
