The second Polish Presidency of the European Union takes place during an important moment for the whole Community - a time of discussion on the prosperous and sustainable future of European agriculture and on rural development. The European Congress for Rural Renewal and Development is the venue for a strategic debate among European agricultural leaders.

Polish second Presidency of the Council of the European Union comes at a crucial time for the entire Union - a time for debate on the prosperous and sustainable future of European agriculture and the development of rural areas. The European Congress for Rural Renewal and Development provides a platform for strategic dialogue among Europes agricultural leaders.

Access to specialists and diagnostic facilities in primary healthcare centres in rural areas, as well as demographic changes and cultural habits in the field of preventive healthcare among rural residents, were the topics of the panel discussion entitled "The health of the rural population in the face of demographic changes in Poland", led by Tomasz Pilawka, director of the office of the Management Board of the Farmers' Social Insurance Contribution Fund.

During the three-day conference, the representatives of the EU Paying Agencies attended the meetings with the experts from the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARMA) and from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the representatives of the world of science and culture. The conference was attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Czesław Siekierski and the Secretary of State Stefan Krajewski.

Environmental matters, with particular consideration given to water management in the context of agriculture, were the major subject of talks between the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Czesław Siekierski and the EU Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy Jessika Roswall. The interlocutors concluded unanimously that agriculture and the environment intermingled, and that finding suitable solutions for both sectors required dialogue and cooperation.

Promoting the image of Poland, strengthening economic and business relations between Poland and Japan and the Asian market, as well as promoting Polish food during the Podlasie Week in the Poland Pavilion, are the main goals of the visit paid by the Secretary of State Stefan Krajewski to the World Expo 2025 in Osaka. The Deputy Minister also attended the official opening of the Poland Pavilion.
