The aim of the programme is to allow the outstanding Polish scientists to return to their homeland and take up employment in Polish universities and research institutes.

18.05.2023Unity Gala at the Sydney Opera HouseA reception summarising “The Unity: Stories about Us” project took place on 18 May 2023 at the Sydney Opera House. “Unity” presents stories of ten prominent Polish-Australians. Her Excellency The Hon. Margaret Beazley, AC, KC, Governor of NSW was the guest of honour of the gala reception.

22.04.2023‘Masha & Valentyna’ in Gilgandra, Central NSWA documentary by Sydney-based director Simon Target, presenting stories of two Ukrainian women who left for Poland after Russia’s invasion, was one of the three films shown at the Gilgandra Film Festival 2023. As part of the screening, the exhibition ‘Mum, I don’t want wat!’ that combines drawings made by Polish and Ukrainian children was presented. The festival became an opportunity to discuss with the local community of this country town in Central NSW the consequences of the war for our region and the situation of Ukrainian refugees in Poland.

24.03.2023Deputy Minister Wojciech Gerwel visits Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New GuineaOn 19-25 March, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wojciech Gerwel travelled to Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea. The main objective of the visits was to hold political consultations with his counterparts in ministries responsible for foreign affairs.

20.03.2023History Contest of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for best publications promoting history of Poland and its diplomacyThe Minister of Foreign Affairs has launched a contest for the best foreign-language publication promoting Poland’s history and the best Polish-language publication on the history of Polish diplomacy released in 2022. Authors are invited to submit their books by 1 June 2023.
