The ongoing energy transition brings new challenges, which makes international exchange of experiences particularly important. It is also necessary to open investment and trade relations. We see Uzbekistan as an important partner for cooperation in this area,

said Deputy Minister Dziadzio.

The Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment also informed about the planned signing of an agreement between the geological surveys of Poland and Uzbekistan in December.

Cooperation between our countries will allow for exchange of experiences, implementation of joint projects - starting from conducting joint research on prospecting, exploration and documentation and reasonable use of natural resources, through identification of investment conditions and joint economic projects in mining industry, to implementation of joint programmes and scientific-research projects in such areas as natural resources and economic geology, geoecology, environmental geochemistry, geochronology, or geological heritage,

he concluded.

The scope of cooperation can bring many benefits to both parties not only through the development of the potential of scientists and experts from Uzbekistan, but also through the implementation of new challenges and interesting projects that may imply concrete investments,

he added.

The Deputy Minister also reminded about the GreenEvo project, which is implemented by the Ministry of Climate and Environment.

I hope that in spring 2022 it will be possible to organise an economic mission of Polish enterprises to Uzbekistan, where they will be able to personally present Polish innovative technologies,

he emphasised.

Detailed information regarding the projects implemented by the Polish Geological Institute - PIB was presented by Andrzej Głuszyński, Deputy Director of PIG-PIB responsible for the State Geological Survey.
