Global eMobility Leaders awarded in Warsaw

The companies most involved in the development of sustainable transport worldwide received the Global eMobility Leaders awards. The awards have been presented by Michał Kurtyka – Minister of Climate and COP24 President during special event in Łazienki Królewskie in Warsaw on November 20th 2019, day before the Global eMobility Forum.

The candidates nominated for the title of Global eMobility Leaders have been selected by a jury consisting of Michał Kurtyka - Minister of Climate and COP24 President, Ovais Sarmad – Deputy Executive Secretary of UNFCCC, George Freeman - Minister of State for the Future of Transport of Great Britain, Julio Bravo – the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile in Poland, Maciej Mazur – Managing Director of PSPA and Vice President of AVERE and Piotr Michalczyk – Partner of PwC.

The Global eMobility Leader 2019 awards were given to the companies achieving a faster pace with the global transformation of the automotive industry towards low- and zero-emission mobility - ABB Group, LG Chem, Nissan Motor Corporation and Volkswagen AG.

The winners of the 2nd edition of the 'Electromobility Leader 2019' ranking were also announced during the event, which aimed to distinguish the entities most involved in the development of the zero-emission transport market in Poland. The PSPA and PwC awarded innogy Poland and Solaris Bus & Coach. Krakowski Holding Komunalny S.A., Miejskie Zakłady Autobusowe Sp. z o.o., Mercedes-Benz Poland, Johnson Matthey Battery Systems and Volkswagen Group Poland were also rewarded.

Many companies operating in our country belong to the group of not only regional but also global leaders in the sustainable transport market. Due to our strategic position, implementation of friendly legal regulations, support of investors and access to qualified staff, Poland plays an increasingly important role on the eMobility map of Europe and the world – summed up Michał Kurtyka - Minister of Climate and COP24 President.
