Minister Anna Moskwa: There is no danger in connection with the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant

"As the Ukrainian Nuclear Regulatory Authority reports - there is no damage to systems important for nuclear safety of Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant" - Anna Moskwa, Minister of Climate and Environment, stressed on 4 March 2022. The press conference was also attended by the President of the State Atomic Energy Agency, Łukasz Młynarkiewicz.

As the head of the Ministry of Climate and Environment Anna Moskwa pointed out, the Ukrainian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (SNRIU), within the framework of the international system of early notification of radiation events (USIE), provides information on the situation at nuclear power plants on an ongoing basis.

We are in constant contact with the Ukrainian side. As of 6:20 a.m., the fire has been extinguished. The units of this largest nuclear power plant in Europe remain intact. Systems and components important for the safety of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant are operational

– she informed.

No increase in radiation levels has been reported at the power plant site. The radiation situation in Poland remains normal. There is no danger

- Minister Moskwa added.

President of the National Atomic Energy Agency Lukasz Mlynarkiewicz reminded that the Agency conducts constant, round-the-clock monitoring of the radiation situation in the country.

Currently in Poland there is no threat to human health and life, and to the environment. The radiation situation does not differ from what it was before the Russian aggression against Ukraine

The President of the National Atomic Energy Agency warned against disinformation.
